Job Description – Studio Fabricator

Key Responsibilities:
- Blueprint & Material Interpretation:
– Read and understand engineered structural drawings and material call-out instructions.
- Quality & Finish:
– Ensure that all fabricated parts meet quality and finish standards as directed by the Job Designer and/or Lead.
- Production & Scheduling:
– Adhere to production schedules and notify the Job Lead and Studio Manager upon completion of tasks.
– Report any changes in schedule or job timelines immediately to ensure workflow continuity.
- Safety Compliance:
– Follow shop safety standards at all times and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
- Fabrication & Tool Use:
– Utilize a variety of tools and fabrication methods to produce props efficiently.
– Collaborate with other fabrication team members to achieve production targets.
- Continuous Improvement:
– Demonstrate a willingness to learn new equipment and fabrication techniques.
– Adapt and suggest improvements to methods as needed.
- Additional Duties:
– Perform other duties as assigned to support overall studio operations.

· Accurate, timely completion of estimates, orders, inventory maintenance, and timesheets

Fabricator Requirements:
Education:
– High school diploma or GED.
Technical Proficiency:
– Skilled in operating forklifts and other aerial equipment.
– Proficient in welding, with a preference for experience in both steel and aluminum.
– Competent with carpentry tools such as chop saws, band saws, panel saws, etc., and basic hand tools.
– Experience in 3-axis CNC programming and operation is preferred.
Personal Attributes:
– Excellent eyesight and color vision.
– Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
– Physical stamina to perform hands-on fabrication work in a dynamic studio environment.
