Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications
- Provide Tier 2/3 application support and work directly with end users and external software vendors for troubleshooting and resolution
- Evaluate application functionality, recommend enhancements, and drive improvement initiatives
- Develop and execute test plans for major upgrades; manage issue tracking and resolution
- Oversee lifecycle management of third-party software applications
- Maintain accurate documentation of licensing, configurations, and vendor relationships
- Plan and implement regular updates and patches as required by vendors
- Partner with internal IT teams to coordinate application rollouts and feature upgrades
- Participate in after-hours work as needed for application installs and major updates
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience with a focus on application support
- Experience supporting users and coordinating with external vendors to resolve application issues
- Legal industry experience is highly preferred (e.g., iManage, Litera, BigHand, Aderant, InterAction)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Microsoft Intune
- Exposure to applications such as Dragon, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Uniflow
- Limited SQL knowledge (basic understanding or light usage) is helpful
- Experience with Exchange Online and Hybrid Azure Active Directory
- Relevant IT certifications are a plus but not required
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong commitment to process adherence and change management
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
