What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Quality & Operational Excellence position at NPAworldwide?
Accountable for driving the Quality strategy for the North American business to ensure that products meet / exceed customer expectations and are produced in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. Ensure compliance to manufacturing regulatory, product integrity, contamination prevention, quality assurance, quality control and overall management system requirements. Drive the learning organization and continuous improvement agenda for the region and lead initiatives to reduce cost, improve quality, service and safety in formulations and packaging operations. Interact with sales, customer service and key customers to improve service level, reducing quality complaints. Lead reduction of rework inventory and manage product shelf-life.

Management Systems - Lead all aspects of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and procedures. Identify plan and implement processes and systems to quantify and report on factors affecting quality performance. Define quality initiatives and implement the Company Global Quality Strategies and Systems, such as Enablon. This includes but is not limited to quality incidents and root cause analyses, material dispositions, document management, internal and toll audits, customer complaints, operations training, QC analytical testing, lot traceability and formulation instructions. Be the Operations interface with SalesForce and set company business rules in areas related to Supply Chain. Responsible to achieve and maintain management systems certifications such as ISO14001, ISO9001 as defined by company.
Process Excellence - Drive the region's continuous improvement and excellence initiatives (4DX, Lean, Six Sigma etc.) to make measurable improvements in cost, quality, service. Partner with Regional Business Process Director and Supply Chain Financial manager to support continuous improvement efforts, projects, and support operations both in formulation and packaging to sustain gains. Develop and drive programs and initiatives to move Company operations to a learning organization beyond compliance training.
Product Integrity - Lead and ensure full compliance to all contamination prevention polices, programs, audits, metrics, root cause investigation and improvement efforts. It includes internal and external manufacturing.
Manufacturing Regulatory Compliance - partner with regulatory, manufacturing, procurement and formulation development to ensure compliance with the most recent CSF in all aspects including composition, labels, sourcing and specifications. Ensure together with HSE Director that Company is in compliance with EPA FIFRA and RCRA requirements.
Inventory Management - responsible to set directions and actions to reduce inventory related to quality hold, re-work, dispose, lot control and expiration.
People Development - Provide support and guidance to help ensure the organization staff development and training meets Company' s longer term succession and structural requirements. Provide direct leadership, coaching and talent development to quality leaders at each site.
The base salary for this position ranges from $151,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $200,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
