Job description:
The Quality Managermanages plant quality systems, ensures timely response to customer feedback and complaints, and identifies/aligns synergies for quality control.serves as the main liaison between all customers and the paper manufacturing facility production team to address customer concerns.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for product quality for the Waco, TX paper manufacturing facility.
- Research and respond to customer claims in a timely manner to prevent aged claims.
- Participate in customer visits as needed.
- Create and manage trial planning within the facility and maintain records within the trial log.
- Regularly review and maintainthe FDA approved chemical list and update the document control system.
- Attend and participate in department meetings.
- Manage job assignments and training plans.
- Participate in lab activities and reporting.
- Have frequent interaction with the Company Sales and Corporate Customer Technical Services.
- Manage Technical Lab activities.
Qualifications/Role Expectations:
- 5-7 years quality manufacturing experience including 3 years of leadership exp.
- Four year technical degree.
- Paper/Packaging industry experience a must.
- Experience within a test lab environment.
- A Safety-First mindset to promote and support a safe workplace.
- To travel as needed to customers.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- To participate in On-call/weekend duty rotation.
- Knowledge of printing press runnability.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results by developing your team.
- The ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost control and employee relations.
- To have quality orientation and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities.
