Job Description
- Lead the design and documentation of mechanical systems for healthcare facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects, from initial concept through construction administration.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes and standards while applying best practices.
- Develop construction documents for new buildings, renovations, and additions.
- Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and address construction-related questions.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and implement improvements.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical system design, with a focus on healthcare projects.
- Proficiency in mechanical, energy, and healthcare-specific codes.
- Expertise in tools like Microsoft Office, Trane Trace, and Revit.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred; Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have permanent work authorization without sponsorship requirements.
