Job Description
- Fabricate, modify, and repair tools, prototypes, and specialized components using manual and CNC machining techniques.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute machining projects with precision.
- Perform advanced machine operations, including milling, turning, boring, and threading.
- Inspect workpieces for accuracy using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend modifications to improve performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to refine tooling designs and develop prototypes.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the workspace meets safety and cleanliness standards.
- 4 years of hands-on experience in manual machining, including milling and lathe operations.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and technical problem-solving.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools to meet tight tolerances.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a written and physical test to demonstrate Tool Maker A-level expertise.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
