Position Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a variety of heavy equipment for the installment of our 1,000-pound Mat Systems at industrial job sites. The mats provide a heavy-duty work platform and temporary access roads for environmentally sensitive areas.
Essential Functions
- Operating a variety of equipment including skid steers, front-end loaders, dozers, etc.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations in concurrence with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for safety equipment being operated and aspects of the machine such as fueling, greasing, and general equipment maintenance.
- May be required to prepare location site using heavy equipment - level, clear trees, backfill reserve pits, build ring levee.
- Additional duties as needed or directed by supervisor and/or manager.
Qualifications
- US work Authorization (Required)
- CDL (Preferred)
- Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
- English (Required)
- Proficient in the operation of wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, track loaders, straw mulchers, skid steers
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of general equipment, maintenance, care and use of safety equipment on each piece of machinery
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions on material paperwork
- Good written and oral communication skills
