DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will deliver accurate full-suite accounting and bookkeeping services. We are looking for an intrinsically motivated problem-solver who values teamwork and impact. You will use your passion for accounting and the nonprofit sector to make a lasting impact on our business.
- Entering transactions using various software platforms.
- Preparing reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, general ledger accounts, etc.).
- Ensure bills, reimbursements, or other disbursements are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure accounting files are maintained and accurate.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
- Preparing monthly financial reports for CEO and Board of Directors.
- Responding to requests from CEO and Treasurer on general accounting needs (i.e. creating custom reports, assist with developing budgets, etc.).
- Prepare and deliver board of director and finance committee presentations.
- Establishing, documenting, and evaluating internal processes to ensure quality service.
- Maintain open and responsible communication.
- Ensure that NPLB's financial statements are accurate and 'audit-ready' prior to the commencement of financial statement audits. Serve as a liaison between NPLB and our auditors.
- Review audits, 990's, and monthly reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and file electronically Form 1099s annually.
QualificationS:
- CPA license, preferred
- Military veterans, disabled veterans or immediate family members of disabled veterans preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an Accounting-related field
- 2-4 years of full cycle accounting experience
- 1 years of nonprofit accounting experience
- Experience with cloud-based accounting systems and tools (such as QuickBooks Online, Dext, and/or Bill.com)
- Significant experience with Microsoft Excel
- Able to work well independently and under pressure

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
SALARY:
- Paid Hourly: $34.27-38.54 depending on experience and qualifications. Reevaluated at 6 months based on performance.
