The Site Coordinator is essential in managing the daily operations of the Community Rec Center Learning Lab, focusing on program delivery and site functionality to help bridge the digital divide in the community. This role ensures that all equipment is operational and accessible, creating a welcoming environment for digital learning.
In addition to overseeing site operations, the Site Coordinator provides direct guidance and support to community members in developing a wide range of digital skills—from basic computer use and internet navigation to troubleshooting devices and accessing online services. Through one-on-one assistance, small group workshops, and tailored digital literacy programs, the Site Coordinator fosters an approachable and knowledgeable atmosphere, empowering individuals to overcome digital barriers and achieve personal, educational, and employment goals. Support is available in person, by phone, email, chat, and walk-in, ensuring a responsive and comprehensive approach to community needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support and Issue Resolution
- Triage and troubleshoot support issues, escalating as needed.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting for basic hardware and software issues on devices like computers, tablets, and smartphones.
