Job Description
The Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson's Wellness has partnered with Mondo Unlimited to find their next Chief Executive Officer . The Center will open in Farmington Hills, Michigan in mid-2025 and is the first of its kind. The Center will offer daily programs and activities free of charge to people living with Parkinson's disease, their families and caregivers. The Center will serve as a beacon of hope, help and inspiration to those battling the disease, and will build a community of support and compassion while also researching and developing better movement-based programs. Over 60,000 class hours will be offered each year.
The Center is being opened, funded and supported by the Kirk Gibson Foundation.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization including the daily operations, staff, programs, strategic planning and financial management. This dynamic leader holds responsibility for ensuring the Center's mission, vision, and values are upheld, and will develop deep knowledge of the field and the programs provided by the Center. The role will also drive the Research and Program Development strategies. They should possess a positive leadership style that creates a culture that values teamwork and excellence in member experience.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Management
- Ensure programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and a continuous improvement approach to program development
- Responsible for the financial health of the organization, including fundraising performance, expense management, compliance, and budgeting
- Oversee the operations of the organization, ensuring member care is always the priority
- Responsible for creating and maintaining appropriate culture throughout Center
- Design and complete the strategic planning process for the organization
- Liaise with the Center Board of Directors effectively
