What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician position at NPX ONE?
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Install, program, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment, instrumentation devices, and related information systems.
- Proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, megger testers, and machine-specific instrumentation to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Perform calibration procedures on various pieces of equipment throughout the facility.
- Able to interpret common engineering drawings, specification documentation and machinery manuals.
- Provide redline edits to existing drawings for as-built or upgraded equipment.
- Complete familiarity with the requirements of the NEC (National Electrical Codes) as they pertain to the facility.
- Diagnose and correct electronic problems on complex interrelated circuits.
- Install electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation devices according to diagrams and schematics.
- Perform all prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and/or electrical systems.
- Assist engineering with equipment installations, upgrades, and R & D projects.
- Familiar with AC and DC drive configuration, PLC and HMI programming, and instrumentation devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperature controllers, and pressure transducers.
- Conducts food safety and defense inspections and reports on deficiencies.
- Performs other related work as assigned by the Supervisor.
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- Education/Work Experience: Diploma from a 2-year Technical or Trade School in a related electrical course.
- Language Ability: Must have excellent communication skills
- Math Ability: Proficient mathematical skills
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Rockwell Software automation software
- Travel Requirements – Negligible
