What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trades Helper position at NPX ONE?
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs minor maintenance jobs of a semi-skilled nature.
- Cleans and disassembles machinery with the directions of a skilled craft or Maintenance Lead.
- Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.
- Performs miscellaneous work as described by maintenance technicians or Maintenance Lead
EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Technical School training preferred
- Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and have had some formal practical training or in the job experience.
- Must work in a safe manner and have knowledge of LO/TO and other safety related processes.
- Must have strong desire to learn.
- Must have propensity to remember specific tasks once trained.
- Must be willing to work all three (3) shifts to assist during high vacation periods.
- Must be flexible, energetic and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must provide own basic hand tools.
- Must have fork truck driver’s license.
- Must have good communication and team skills.
