Job Title: Servicing Team Lead
Reports To: Servicing Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $64K to $70K per year
Summary: The Mortgage Servicing Team Lead will assist the Servicing Manager in overseeing and managing a team of mortgage servicing specialists. This role ensures that all team members are effectively performing daily servicing tasks, adhering to company policies, and meeting regulatory requirements. The Team Lead will assist in provide training, support, and guidance to staff while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the mortgage servicing department.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in leading, mentoring, and motivating a team of mortgage servicing specialists to achieve performance goals.
- Assist in providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and feedback to team members, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist in monitoring team performance and implementing improvements to meet operational goals and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide coaching, set objectives, and address any concerns.
- Ensure timely and accurate mortgage servicing functions such as payment processing, escrow analysis, loan modifications, and customer inquiries.
- Oversee the management of delinquent accounts and assist with loss mitigation strategies.
- Review and ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining procedures to streamline processes and improve team efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex servicing issues and escalate unresolved matters to upper management as necessary.
- Handle and resolve escalated customer issues or concerns related to mortgage servicing.
- Ensure team members provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the loan servicing interim period.
- Prepare payoff demand statements and other requests to provide payoff information in written form
- Researched and outlined transferring population/trade transactional and loan level characteristics ensuring all documentation and data points are captured, specifically borrower/investor data and receivable calculations
- Send out Goodbye Letters timely
- Prepare escrow account reconciliations
- Responding to customer inquiries and requests; assisting with escalated customer issues and working with the complaint/legal department toward dispute resolution; maintenance to customer or account
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:

- 3-5 years of experience in mortgage servicing or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing teams within mortgage servicing or a similar industry.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. Encompass experience preferred.
- Experience with sub servicer in all aspects preferred.
- Experience in Correspondent Lending preferred.
