Job title- Forklift Operator/General Labor
Hours- Schedule: 6 AM to 4 PM (Mon-Thurs) OR 8 PM to 6 AM (Mon-Thurs)
Duration- 03 Months (With Possible extension)
Location- St. Joseph, MO 64504
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and order pickers, to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement and organization of goods.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
Skills
- Proficient in operating various forklifts and material handling equipment, including cranes and cherry pickers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment processes.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
