About the Opportunity:
Join a dedicated team at a renowned nonprofit, academic medical center that serves as a Level I Trauma Center in Kansas City, KS. We are currently seeking two experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to support our mission of delivering the highest standards of patient care and surgical excellence.
As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, assembled, and distributed in a timely and safe manner to support patient procedures and care across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and adhere to hospital protocols.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and other high-level disinfection tools.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for sterile processing supplies.
- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to ensure proper instrument availability and usage.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certification Required: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a busy SPD as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques, medical terminology, and surgical instruments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $39.66 - $40.52 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
