We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our Development, Engineering, and Construction team. This position can work out of Houston, TX, Princeton, NJ, or other NRG office locations on a hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating complex commercial arrangements for power generation and storage solutions designed to support NRG’s growing retail load and data center customers and will make informed recommendations on a variety of business decisions from project inception through commencement of operation.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate future performance and scenario risk of energy-related development opportunities.
- Work closely with other internal departments and third parties to gather necessary data and ensure that all modeling assumptions and mechanics are reasonable and accurate.
- Evaluate projected cash flow, financial performance, and impacts to key financial metrics under different scenarios.
- Present findings and recommendations on the planned course of action.
- Develop presentation materials to support internal approval processes.
- Provide support for project financing efforts including analysis of financing packages, leading due diligence activities, and supporting closing obligations.
- Interface with financial institutions and credit agencies.
- Support corporate budgeting and forecasting efforts as required.
- Perform industry research and studies as required.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, ora closely related field.
- Five (5) years of related professional experience

- Master’s degree preferred.
- Energy industry and/or data center experience is strongly desired.
- Strong understanding of business finance, accounting, tax, and economic concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Expert in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
- Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee personnel, NRG, and customer information.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals both internal and external.
- Normal office environment.
- This position will require off-schedule hours when the need arises.
- Occasional travel will be required.
