As the Sr. Director of Corporate Philanthropy, this leader will play an essential role in developing and implementing NRG's corporate giving mission through strategic fundraising and donor relations. They will drive the development and execution of philanthropic initiatives, build and strengthen long-term partnerships, and ensure the growth and expansion of NRG's multiple strategic giving organizations. They will lead the team to align NRG's corporate philanthropic efforts to the broader organizational strategy and key engagement programs and initiatives. To be successful, the individual in this role will be responsible for increasing engagement and connectivity and have an in-depth understanding of corporate giving, strong executive presence, judgment, and writing skills. They will create new and compelling ways to deliver information and engage NRG's employees and stakeholders across various channels and mediums in ways that excite and motivate them to bring their best to work and drive our future together.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Support efforts to shape, implement and synchronize philanthropy programs to build NRG's reputation as a great place to work, attract top talent, and raise relevancy and reputation with internal and external stakeholders across channels.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to help drive initiatives that engage a company-wide audience, cultivates a deep understanding of our strategic objectives, and maximizes employee engagement and connection with our philanthropic programs.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Corporate / Brand Philanthropy and community engagement strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and business goals.
  • Help integrate Corporate and Brand Philanthropy initiatives into the company's overall business strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with all departments.
  • Develop programs to engage colleagues around corporate strategy and business priorities / milestones.
  • Create new programs and partnership strategies that encourage employees to celebrate and take pride in our company and inspire them to act as our brand advocates in the world.
  • Oversee corporate philanthropy programs, including corporate giving and employee volunteering programs.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
  • Create compelling campaigns to advance NRG's strategic, brand-focused, corporate giving and volunteering initiatives.
  • Plan community outreach events and activities to build relationships with stakeholders, corporate partners, and foundations.

Working Conditions :

  • Open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Travel (25% of time)
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • 15 years of experience in corporate philanthropy, internal communications, or public relations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Consumer services experience a plus.
  • P roven track record of managing complex projects and driving organizational priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on execution and results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with data analysis, metrics, and reporting to support decision-making.
  • A passion for promoting organizational culture, brand integrity, and employee engagement.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Communications, Public Relations, Fundraising or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
