Job Summary :
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering materials, tracking and maintaining accurate records of all procurements, and vendor management. Assisting in improving business production through usage of materials in the warehouse.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Assesses inventory reports and understands patterns to ensure that available stock remain at acceptable levels
- Monitors inventory daily to maintain consistent stock
- Reports damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
- Provides monthly inventory reports to purchasing management
- Ensures physical inventory syncs with Inventory Management System
- Participates in monthly inventory counts and reconciliation
- Conducts frequent audits of physical inventory
- Works with management, purchasing and warehouse departments to assess inefficiencies and develop improved processes
- Assists with transition to Warehouse Management System
- Collaborates with other departments as needed
- Follows safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
