What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Relocation Consultant position at NRI Relocation, Inc.?
We're a relocation management company that helps corporations relocate their employees across the U.S. and worldwide. We're seeking to hire an experienced Relocation Consultant to join our service operations team.
The Relocation Consultant is responsible for facilitating the overall relocation process of our client's transferring employees and families. You will be their main contact for coordinating all aspects of their move.
If you have corporate relocation industry experience and display an energetic, customer-driven, and positive demeanor, you are the person we want on our team.
Responsibilities:
- Primary contact for every phase of the relocation
- Needs assessment at the beginning of the relocation and counseling on relocation policy benefits
- Adjust services and counseling to changing needs and conditions during the move
- Provide coordination of benefits including home marketing, home finding, appraisals, inspections, home sale (GBO/BVO), mortgage
- Provide coordination of benefits including household goods, temporary housing, global assignments, and expense management.
- Ability to create a relocation budget and manage expenses within that budget
- Provide recommendations for solutions outside the scope of your authority
- Review and evaluate exception request and challenging situations
- Understand and manage costs and expenses related to relocation deliverables
- Manage issues that arise in the process with a proactive approach
- Accurately document conversations, exceptions, and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Maintain file documentation and ensure data integrity
- Participate in special projects in support of the team and leadership
- Assist with the training of new team members
- Readily adopt and adhere to new processes and procedures
- Nights and weekends situational light work will be necessary at times
Preferred Qualifications:
- Corporate employee relocation experience
- Global mobility and assignment experience
- Real estate experience, real estate license a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Professional, courteous, and positive-mindset
