As the Supply Chain Manager at NRP Jones, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing comprehensive materials plans, sourcing strategies, and logistics solutions across our multi-site manufacturing and distribution facilities. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations, optimize efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Materials Planning :
Develop and execute materials planning strategies to meet production demands efficiently.
Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules to determine optimal material requirements.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory while ensuring uninterrupted production.
Develop an ABC analysis process and tool to optimize inventory management and resource allocation
Sourcing Strategy :
Formulate and implement sourcing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services.
Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strategic partnerships to enhance supply chain resilience and mitigate risks.
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and compliance to ensure adherence to established standards and specifications.
Logistics Management :
Support all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize costs and improve delivery efficiency.
Collaborate with logistics providers to streamline processes, track shipments, and resolve any issues or delays proactively.
Continuous Improvement :
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reliability, and flexibility.
Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for optimization and implement best practices.
Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration to drive process improvements and cost savings across the supply chain.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience supply chain management roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in hose and fittings or related sectors.
Strong understanding of materials planning principles, sourcing strategies, and logistics management best practices.
Proficiency in utilizing supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software, transportation management systems).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams, drive change, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
