- This position is responsible for operating a CNC machine and fabrication of mechanical parts that help to improve projects. Performing offsets and tool changes as required and needed. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and skills with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Machine setup:
- Set up machines and ensure they are calibrated correctly.
- Load and unload raw materials into the machines.
- Study blueprints, create designs, and use geometric code to program automated tasks
- Material processing:
- Use the CNC machine to drill, cut, mill, bend, and shape materials like metal, rubber, etc.
- Quality control:
- Inspect the finished product to ensure it meets specifications
- Maintenance:
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and call for repairs as needed
- Documentation:
- Keep detailed part records and document daily production operations
- Safety:
- Adhere to company safety guidelines
- Must be familiar with, and follow, all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
- Knowledge of how and where to locate procedures and forms relevant to this position

- 2 or more years' experience as CNC Setup Machinist preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical documents and drawings.
- Be familiar with computer programming, schematics and CAD.
- Attention to detail and focused.
- Use and be familiar with measuring tools, read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong literacy and comprehension skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED, or experience in a manufacturing environment with some mechanical back round required.
- CNC-related training and certificate, preferred.
- Completion of company indoctrination.
- Successful completion of safety training programs.
- Understanding of the company’s Quality System and processes.
