Job Description
We are looking for an efficient and self-motivated Human Resources (HR) Manager to manage a variety of HR functions. You will facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly HR functions like keeping track of employees’ records and coordinating the interview process. Your role involves performing tasks with a specific focus to grow our company’s talent pool and improve our recruiting and hiring processes. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure accurate record keeping and compliance. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using HR software and tools. Ultimately, you must become a cross functional partner who ensures the accuracy of payroll, coordinates benefits, safety compliance and creatively leads the recruiting and hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of general Human Resource experience
- 2-3 years of Payroll processing and administration experience
- Experience working in time-keeping systems and coordinating overtime, vacation, sick leave and holiday’s
- In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities with 2-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidential and privacy safeguards
- Excellent verbal, written, computer, data communication and presentation skills
- Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a complex, high-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently, seek answers when help is needed, and motivated to seek out additional tasks for completion
Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
- Coordinate with the insurance broker to assimilate annual open employee enrollment for healthcare, vision and dental insurance plans
- Responsible for all employee documentation including creation and maintenance of employee personnel files
- Perform orientations, on boarding and update records with new hire
- Maintain position control/management for employee positions/rate changes
- Research compensation standards and market rates
- Processes payroll by using multiple software systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll, monthly commissions, paid time off adjustments, leave of absence
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Ensure all required safety compliance is up to date and being followed
- Ensure employees follow all policies and procedures
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
- Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
- Performs exit interviews and report findings
- Maintain and track key performance metrics related to Human Resources
