What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commissary Order Picker position at NRSI?
- Perform counts of commissary inventory to assist in the determination of inventory shortages;
- Read location requisition sheets and accurately pull inventory items from warehouse stock to complete orders for delivery to the locations
- Maintain inventory in accordance with company rotation policies and regulatory requirements;
- Assist in the maintenance of the warehouse by organizing delivery cages, soiled rag bins, and other warehouse equipment as necessary;
- Organize and maintain warehouse and delivery stock using common warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, wheeled carts and forklifts, if certified for use;
- Report accidents and other important information to warehouse management;
- Other warehouse related duties as requested;
- Keep assigned areas clean and organized according to company guidelines;
- Accurately fill commissary orders from requisition lists and identify warehouse out of stock and underfill items;
- Ensure that the appropriate delivery paperwork is organized and included with each delivery;
- Assist drivers in emptying and cleaning the vehicle box upon return to the warehouse and return any cages, delivery containers, returned or spoiled merchandise, trash and recyclable materials to the proper place within the warehouse.
