Behavioral Heath Tech Supervisor - Steamboat
Reports to: Executive Director/Director of Operations
Job Category: Hourly | Non-Exempt | Full-Time
Salary Range: $25-$28.75 per hour
Job Site: Foundry - Ranch | Steamboat Springs
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor - Steamboat is responsible for managing the daily workflow of the team and ensuring quality services are consistently delivered to clients. In addition to performing Tech duties, this role will assist in onboarding, training, and scheduling of staff.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services fields preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years proven experience with people and program management in clinical settings.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Valid, non-restricted Driver's License.
- Must have a plan to obtain Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) certification within 18 months of hire.
- Current CPR certification or ability to gain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in a supervisory position.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a caring team environment.
- Ability to train and evaluate staff.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff and clients.
- Ability to problem solve and make objective decisions.
- Calm under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn various computer applications and systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs duties of a Behavioral Health Tech.
- Supervises BHT staff and provides feedback on performance.
- Acts as a role model for staff and clients.
- Assists with evaluating and developing personal growth opportunities for staff.
- Assists with scheduling of the team and assigning tasks.
- Supports team by covering shifts when needed.
- Onboards and trains new staff members.
- Works closely with the Executive Director to ensure training materials and policies and procedures meet requirements of all governing authorities.
- Understands, follows, and enforces policies and procedures amongst team and milieu.
- Maintains strict confidentiality, HIPAA, and 42CFR Part 2 compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working and typing on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate uneven terrain to access multiple on-site buildings.
- Must be able to drive in all weather conditions.
