JOB DETAILS :
PAY : $70,000–$75,000 / year
HOURS : 40–50 / week
SCHEDULE : Monday–Friday, 7 : 30 AM–4 : 30 PM
START : ASAP
LOCATION : Fort Lauderdale, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Weld on boats and assist in supervising a team of welders.
- Ensure welding procedures, personnel, and processes meet contract and certification standards.
- Assist in managing welding department operations, including maintaining required certifications.
- Oversee Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) performed by subcontractors.
- Improve welding processes, reducing defects and optimizing quality.
- Perform root cause analysis on weld defects and provide repair recommendations.
- Support equipment selection, purchasing, and facility maintenance.
- Work alongside the Assistant VP of Operations to enhance department efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and management.
