Now Hiring: General Laborers
Location: 1400 Farragut Street, Bremerton, WA
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled trades workers in various maintenance tasks.
- Perform general labor duties such as power tooling, painting, sanding, and site clean-up.
- Operate specialized machines and assist with minor repairs under supervision.
- Handle material pick-ups and deliveries and maintain tools and equipment inventory.
- Safely operate hand and portable power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.).
- Meet critical deadlines while multitasking.
- Lift and transport heavy equipment (minimum of 30 lbs).
- Work in diverse environments, including confined spaces, extreme temperatures, shipyards, and aboard vessels.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including using PPE, and work in environments exposed to noise, fumes, and irritants.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 0-3 years in General Labor, Power Tooling, or similar fields.
- Tools: You must provide essential hand tools (hammers, wrenches, pliers, etc.).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Safety: Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, including working in high-heat, humid, and noisy environments.
Work Environment:
Most work will occur aboard ships, in shipyards, or in other industrial/commercial settings. Exposure to fumes, high heat, and other industrial hazards may occur, but proper PPE will always be provided.
