As Auditor II Product Certification – Chicago, IL, you will be responsible for providing audit services to Certification programs and other NSF clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monitoring and initial audits
- Manage enforcement issues stemming from certification audits
- Provide a timely report of corrective actions
- Conduct special visits to investigate product failures and verify the implementation of corrective actions taken by NSF clients
- Investigate and resolve complaints
- Develop cost effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits
- Establish and maintain effective communication with program representatives and project managers as it relates to assigned clients
- Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and competitive threats to management team
- Develop business by responding to inquiries, conducting introductory visits, conducting seminars, and attending conferences in support of NSF’s business units (as authorized)
- Support NSF’s business units by assisting clients in the identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial (examples – new products for certification, test only services, quality system registration)
- Perform other duties as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, related science, or business
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the public or private sector in industry
- Ability to work independently from remote (home based) location
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health, engineering, or related profession)
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
- Advanced degree in environmental health, related science or business
- Experience auditing or with quality control
- Two (2) years related industry auditing experience
- Work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality function
- Prior experience working with dietary supplements along with cosmetics or OTC drugs
- Lead Auditor Certification, HAACP or PCQI Certification
- Professional registration
- Foreign language skills (Spanish, French, other languages)
