Materials Coordinator

Description

As the Materials Coordinator you will coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities. You will prepare required reports and update department metrics on a daily and weekly basis. You will conduct and maintain accurate counts of all packaging including expendables.

Primary Duties:

• Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
• Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities.
• Collaborate with various departments to manage the efficient flow of material.
• Prepare required reports and updates department metrics on a daily and weekly basis.
• Inputs and manages master data for new stores parts.
• Conducts and maintains accurate counts of all packaging, including expendables.
• Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
• Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
• May arrange for repair and assembly of material or part.
• May coordinate the return of non-conforming parts to a supplier.
• Responsible for ensuring that all activities are within the scope of this position conform to the applicable QS9000 and company policies, procedures, and work instructions

• Other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

• Rossford, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Materials handling: 4 years (Preferred)
