Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a broad spectrum of mental health challenges.
- Conduct thorough assessments to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate with clients to create and modify personalized treatment plans, ensuring consistent movement toward established therapeutic goals.
- Work in partnership with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to promote a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Inform clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and effective coping strategies.
- Maintain compliance with all counseling practices to adhere to healthcare regulations and ethical standards, ensuring accurate and confidential documentation of client records.
- Pursue continuous professional development to remain informed of the latest advancements in mental health counseling, thus enhancing your clinical skills and knowledge.
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid LCPC licensure in the state of Alaska.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with diverse populations and a variety of mental health issues.
- Proficient therapeutic and assessment skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to client-centered care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
