Assembly/Packer

1. Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed.  Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
2. Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (“EH&S”), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
3. Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
4. Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
5. Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
6. Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
7. Conducts quality control checks.
8. Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
9. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
10. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
11. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
12. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
13. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
14. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
15. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
16. Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
17. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
18. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including:
  • Hand trucks
  • Pallet jacks
• Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Basic math & computer skills
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic whether they are working with others or working unsupervised.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in warehouse environment preferred.

• Must be in good physical condition
• Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
