Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Address and resolve maintenance requests from staff promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Obtain quotes, schedule appointments, and oversee the work of contractors to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Maintain a list of approved vendors and build strong working relationships with them.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery.
- Ensure that all equipment is regularly serviced and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety inspections and address any hazards promptly.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Order necessary supplies and parts in a timely manner to avoid disruptions in maintenance activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent trade school.
- Minimum 3-5 years manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a forklift and/or material handling equipment
- Proven experience in general maintenance and handyman tasks.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with vendors and staff effectively.
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (varied based on daily tasks)
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.
- Math skills
- Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
