Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Datasphere Data Modeler & BW Bridge Specialist to design, develop, and implement modern data warehousing and analytics solutions. This role will focus on leveraging SAP Datasphere and BW Bridge to enable seamless integration and migration from on-premise SAP BW systems, while supporting current ECC 6 environments and preparing for a potential S/4HANA transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement robust data models and warehousing solutions using SAP Datasphere, ensuring data accuracy, security, and high performance.
Leverage BW Bridge to enable migration and integration of on-premise SAP BW systems to SAP Datasphere, maximizing existing investments.
Utilize SAP Datasphere capabilities including data cataloging, integration, semantic modeling, federation, and virtualization.
Provide guidance and best practices for provisioning data from on-premise SAP sources using BW Bridge.
Architect hybrid scenarios for consuming on-premise models in SAP Datasphere (e.g., core tenant and BW Bridge approaches).
Identify and work around known limitations of SAP Datasphere and BW Bridge, such as unsupported OLAP engine functionalities or add-ons.
Support production operations and reporting through optimization, troubleshooting, and enhancement of data warehousing solutions.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
Ensure solutions meet data quality, security, governance, and performance standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of data infrastructure and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP BW Bridge in cloud data warehousing environments.
Strong understanding of legacy SAP systems (ECC6) and experience preparing for S/4HANA migrations.
Familiarity with hybrid data consumption scenarios in SAP cloud environments.
Experience in Consumer Products Sales and Service functions, including solution sales, subscription management, and usage-based billing, is a strong plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
[10 ] years of experience in SAP data modeling, BI, or related fields.
Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (formerly Data Warehouse Cloud) is required.
