What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) position at NSS?
Currently seeking cleared Cyber Security professionals interested in ISSE type positions for long term, permeant opportunities located 100% onsite in Philadelphia, PA. These positions will be in primary support of the Navy customer.
These positions are a direct hire arrangement with a top government contracting organization who has been driving innovation throughout the Federal landscape in Cyber Security, Engineering and Management Consulting for over 30 years (based in DC). They are experiencing a lot of growth at the moment and have multiple openings available!
ACTIVE Secret clearance needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform vulnerability scanning and analysis to ensure security controls are implemented with IT security standards for associated systems within laboratories on the RDT&E network. Perform System Administration and remediation to include installing patches and software updates. Support customer in developing hardware lists, scanning assets, and documenting systems/boundaries. Support boundaries in accreditation actions within the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including developing POAMs and risk mitigation statements and uploading artifacts to eMASS.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (completed) along with a baseline certification (ex. Security )
Minimum Work Experience:
-3-10 years of relative experience (can consider both senior and mid-level skilled professionals)
-Demonstrates ability to collect, organize, summarize and report on various data sets.
-Demonstrates experience in hardware/software procurements.
-Demonstrates experience in MS Office products and scanning software/hardware required.
-Knowledge of and experience with evaluating hardware/software functional requirements.
-Demonstrates ability to develop documentation, prepare final deliverable reports, and destruction of documents, as required.
-Demonstrates experience in strong written and oral communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED):
• Experience or training with scanning tools, such as ACAS.
• Experience in performing system and asset administration
• Familiarity with the RMF process, including completion of related training
• Ability to document system boundaries in Visio or equivalent diagram tool
