What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Operations Analyst position at NTCA_user?
NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our Information Technology group. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Information Technology. You will have the opportunity to develop business requirements for new business solutions and enhancements to current processes and systems, design and document workflow and provide solutions to new business unit ideas, and provide key assistance on all business applications, new initiatives, and their implementation.
What will you do?
Proactively collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information, system needs and functional requirements. Work closely with business partners, users, and subject matter experts to define, test and implement new processing systems and support current business applications.
Solicit business requirements from users through interviews, workshops and existing systems documentation and procedures. Translate user requirements into business requirements, functional specifications, and data applications. Create process maps, business requirements, business rules, user stories, user flows and acceptance tests.
Provide and present to management staff analysis of workflows and procedures. Develop recommendations for revisions to processes or procedures. Create documentation to include reference manuals, data application, user guides and data layout design.
Provide and participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements projects. Work closely with business partners in implementation of new initiatives to include, but not limited to, testing, documenting, and training.
Develop and provide business intelligence support for queries, reports, mailing lists, exports, and data analysis. Primary technical support of business applications in setting standards and policies, configurations, integrations, upgrades, and customizations. Collaborate with vendor partners for recommendations and technical solutions.
Lead, develop and manage project assignments to a successful conclusion, on time and within budget.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and industry advances and evaluate integration to the organization’s technology.
Communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders in a clear, concise, thorough, and timely manner. Display strong interpersonal skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to facilitate successful group discussions, drive decisions and write clear business requirements

Strong organizational, time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to proactively follow through on tasks and manage processes
Ability to work in evolving business environment and manage priorities
Strong analytical and project management skills
Excellent communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including senior management
Effective vendor relationship management
Practical knowledge, skills, and abilities usually acquired through an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 3 –5 years of related work experience.
Experienced in SQL, knowledge of employee benefits and/or finance or budgeting software is desirable
