What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Services Engineer position at NTCA_user?
NTCA is seeking a self-starter, self-motivated Technology Services Engineer to join our team of IT division. Responsibilities include maintain, design, configure and deploy the organization's network infrastructure. This position will provide advanced technical support for network equipment, servers, firewalls, switches, routers and other telecommunications systems as well as providing support to users across the organization.
What will you do?
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network security vulnerabilities and participate in incident response.
Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, mapping, processes, service records, server/application configuration, user workstation and application configuration.
Research, design, configure and deploy network/server infrastructure, including LANs, WANs and wireless networks as well as servers, routers, hubs, switches, USPs, workstations and other hardware.
Provide technical support to the NTCA user community.
Perform server and security audits, system backups and recovery.
The ideal candidate will have the following position requirements:
Advanced working knowledge of VMWare, Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) LAN/WAN technology, network security principles, and network design and management best practices
Hands-on knowledge of network, server, and PC operating systems including Microsoft Windows and various databases
Excellent hardware troubleshooting and customer service skills
Experience with automated file transfer applications
Ability to work independently or with a variety of user groups.
An undergraduate degree in computer science or 5-7 years of related work experience desired.
