Terms of Employment
W2 Contract, 4 Months (Possible Extension)
This position is remote.
Must be able to pass background screens.
Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel and work off-hours as required by the project.
This position will require 80-90% travel. The chosen candidate will be out of town for extended periods of time (2 weeks up to 1 month at a time) with limited opportunities to travel home.
Candidates must be located in the Mid-Atlantic / East Coast Area.
Overview
The Commissioning Specialist will support clients internal and external stakeholders by coordinating, and delivering commissioning services throughout the facility planning, design, construction, warranty, and performance phases of the project. The Commissioning Specialist will apply technical expertise to deliver technical solutions to complex problems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate on the development and implementation of commissioning process with sales, engineering, and construction teams.
Coordinates and directs the commissioning activities using consistent protocols and forms, centralized documentation, clear and regular communications and consultations with all necessary parties, frequently updated timelines and schedules and technical expertise.
Review and comment on subcontractor submittals applicable to systems being commissioned for compliance with commissioning needs, concurrent with the engineering reviews.
With necessary assistance and review from construction team and subcontractors, write the functional performance test procedures for equipment and systems. This may include energy management control system trending, stand-alone data logger monitoring or manual functional testing.
Analyze any functional performance trend logs and monitoring data to verify performance.
Responsible for preparation of progress reports, equipment checklist, commissioning logs, and final commissioning reports.
Ensure that the commissioning process meets project long-term energy performance guarantees.
Maintain accountability for project schedule and cost requirements.
Develop constructive and long-lasting relationships with subcontractors and customers
