Overview
Our client is seeking three (3) CAD Drafters to create engineering drawings to support conceptual designs developed by engineers. CAD Drafters should have a strong understanding of drafting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. They should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Incorporating design changes and modifications into existing drawings.
- Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Creating 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
- Performing calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings.
- Organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation.
- Communicating and coordinating with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.
- Providing support during the construction or manufacturing process by clarifying drawings and providing additional information as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent certification.
- 5 years of CAD experience.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings at a power facility or comparable facility
- 4-5 years of Microstation experience.
- Experience in the utility/gas industry.
- Strong understanding of drafting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Possess reliable transportation and a cellular phone.
