Work Planner

Terms of Employment
W2 Contract, 9 months
This position is hybrid, with Tuesday - Thursday in office.
The office is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Overview
Our client is seeking a Work Planner to join their team. The Work Planner will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily work activities of a team or department, specifically assisting New Business with recovery of tasks due to cancelled outages, weather, and other issues. The Work Planner will need to work with various departments to line up resources and outages and should have some knowledge of ComEd terms and the work control process.

Responsibilities
Creating work schedules and assignments for employees based on priorities and deadlines.
Coordinating with internal departments and external contractors to schedule work activities.
Monitoring work progress and adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
Assigning resources, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, to tasks.
Ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
Communicating work schedules and assignments to team members and stakeholders.
Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts or issues.
Providing guidance and support to team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in work planning and coordination.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Assisting New Business with recovery of tasks due to cancelled outages, weather, and other issues.
Working with various departments to line up resources and outages.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Experience with work planning software and tools.
Knowledge of ComEd terms and work control process.
