This position is 100% remote. Candidates must reside in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Florida, or Texas.
Candidates must be available Monday – Friday between 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (ET).
Overview
Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their team. The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining admin rates, and preparing and delivering invoices to bring in revenue for the organization. This includes establishing and following required technical specifications, managing the accuracy and efficiency of the established process as well as identifying and resolving data and setup issues as it relates to internal billing systems. The incumbent will also be responsible for remitting payment to client vendors within proper timeframes to ensure late fees are not charged. On a minimum basis, the Accounting Analyst can expect to handle 30 reconciliations per month which are based on the third-party administrators (TPAs) who conduct billing and receipt processing for groups that have their benefits through the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting -OR- High School diploma and 6 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
Experienced in financial reconciliations (understanding of debit (increase in receivable) and a credit (decrease of receivable) to systematically process balance adjustments).
Understands journal entries from an accounting perspective.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel to include utilizing formulas and VLOOKUPs to identify data discrepancies.
Strong analytical and math skills with the ability to confirm formula results are accurate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Comfort interacting with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) through email and over the phone.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience interacting with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).
Experience with healthcare systems such as Nasco and / or Facets.
Experience with Oracle EBS General Ledger system.
Experience with large Billing / Payment Posting systems.
