About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Manage the export process from start to finish
- Use the most appropriate method of communication when being the first point of contact for all customers
- KSMS / HAZ (if applicable)
- Liaise with customers to obtain information to ensure correct measures are in place and all customer needs are met
- Liaise with Customers, Customs and Operations’ Departments ensuring all documents are received within the designated time frame
- Filing AES with Customs
- Obtain all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met
- Liaise between all concerned parties to obtain up to date shipment information
- Ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments
- Creates and maintains customer profiles in CargoWise with detailed customer information.
- Provide transport companies with the relevant information to ensure customer delivery requirements are met
- Ensure correct documentation is on file and act accordingly as set out in the instructions
- Maintains effective communication with internal and external parties.
- Cover the import operations when required
- Tracking and Documenting shipments
- Follow up on shipments to ensure proper timing
- Negotiate rates and coordinate moves for freight pick ups to airport
- Creates invoices to be processed for billing purposes.
- Addresses internal and external inquiries and directs to the correct department if needed.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Have experience working in freight-forwarding/international logistics
- Be a confident, organized team player
- Have a strong customer-service background
- Be a proficient computer user including the full Microsoft Office suite
- Be able to work in a busy environment, effectively prioritizing workload
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00 pm CST

Microsoft Word, Excel proficiency
Salary
Starting at $50,000 annually based on experience level.
