We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Neuro Trauma ICU. This is an excellent opportunity for ICU nurses with experience in trauma and neuro care. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
Position Details:
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Hours: As required by the facility
- Call Requirements: None
- Local candidates will receive $10 below the posted travel rate.
- Flu Vaccination: Required for all travelers from November 1 - April 1. Declinations/Exceptions are not accepted.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN License (Must meet criteria for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- 1 year of ICU experience (inpatient only)
- Preferred: 1 year of Neuro ICU experience
Job Duties:
- Provide direct patient care to neuro and trauma patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Utilize specialized equipment, including Prismax CRRT and Codman EVD
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to Mercy’s mission and values
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 25
- Patient Ratios: 1:2; 1:3 for stepdown
- Type of Patients: Neuro, stroke, neurosurgery, trauma
- Specialized Equipment: Prismax CRRT, Codman EVD
- EMR: EPIC
