Overview
The Project Engineer maintains and updates all project documents and processes. Makes routine scheduling and budgetary decisions for the completion of assigned projects under project supervision.
Responsibilities
- Update the project progress log and submit internal request forms.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Collaborate with project teams to monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Support in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and reports.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Participate in on-site visits to assess project status and address any on-site challenges.
- Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
- Assist in the implementation of project management best practices and process improvements.
- Successfully runs 5 projects totaling $250,000 or more at a time.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 1-2 years of related experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in project management within the construction industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
