PC Supervisor - East - 1st shift

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, And Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3 years’ experience in production control/scheduling.
• Must have prior Supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced with MS Excel including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and data tables.
• Prior automotive scheduling experience a plus.
  
  

Physical Limitations

• Regularly work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus overtime if warranted
• Ability to work for long periods at computer
• Ability to sit or stand a minimum of 8 hours per day
  
  

JOB DESCRIPTION: NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking a qualified Production Control Supervisor for our Columbus, Indiana operations. NTN currently has over 2000 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for managing the planning, preparation, issue, control and coordination of production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials.
• Responsible for supervising production schedulers.
• Responsible for arranging schedules for shifts, delegate tasks, and monitor all work.
• You will also be responsible for recruiting and training staff as well and keep coaching and counseling workers on the job.
• Enforce company policies and encourage best practices in production.
• Provides leadership, direction and guidance to production personnel to ensure effective contract performance
• Meets customer quality requirements by working effectively with all departments.
• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment
• Support the Plant quality systems goals, improvement and productive goals and within the scope of the job.
• Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
• Maintaining communication between employees and senior executives to ensure procedures and policies are well understood
