JOB DESCRIPTION : NTN Driveshaft, a world leader in constant velocity technology for the automotive industry, is currently seeking a qualified HR Generalist Bilingual (Spanish) for our Columbus, Indiana operations. NTN currently has over 2000 employees working in our Columbus operation and customer demand for our product is growing rapidly. NTN Driveshaft manufactures Constant Velocity Joints (CVJs) for all of the major automotive companies. These customers include Honda, Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler and most other automotive OEMs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Hiring recruiter for salaried employees
Translation for Spanish speaking employees on an as needed basis (both Verbal Written)
Administrative tasks such as job postings, background checks, assisting potential employees with online application
Help enroll employees to Wellness Screenings and Health Risk Assessments.
Coordinate Blood Drive
Prioritize / multi-task and handle a multitude of HR assignments.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Responsible for obtaining, recording, forwarding, and explaining human resource information.
Maintain human resources records, including applications, resumes, and applicant logs.
Medical interpreter for the onsite Health and Wellness Center.
Assist employees by explaining benefit programs, and avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES :
S. Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration or similar disciplines
3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing or industrial / distribution environment
5 years’ experience in hourly workforce recruitment, selection and staffing, training, and other generalist duties.
3-5 years working knowledge of compensation practices, employee relations, federal and state employment law.
Demonstrated experience with HRIS Payroll Systems (ADP Workforce preferred)
Mobility : Ability to move between different departments or locations as needed.
Stamina : Capability to handle long hours during busy periods, such as recruitment drives or performance review times.
Constantly : talk or hear and use hands, fingers to handle or feel, or operate equipment or tools,
Frequently : stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; climb, pull, push or balance, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms.
Carry or transport items : frequently : up to 10 pounds, and occasionally : between 11 and 50 pounds.
Visual Acuity : have close vision (1- 20 inches) and have the ability to adjust focus.
Basic Computer Skills : Proficiency in using computers for documentation and communication.
