Job Description: Assistant Manager
Reports to: Branch Manager
Supervises: Tellers (in absence of head-teller)
NBC’s Assistant Manager position is an exciting role within the branch network – it is stimulating, with the opportunity to interact with and help customers with their financial needs. This position affords the right candidate with room to be cross-trained and advance within the bank. Candidates should be familiar with Banking and Branch Operations.
The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are:
- Interact with and help customers with their banking needs/questions
- Open various types of accounts for customers
- Assist customers in deposit and loan requests
- Participate in conducting monthly branch audits
- Discuss bank products and services with customers depending on their needs
- Assist Head Teller with teller operations
- Cover the branch during Branch Manager absences
- Fill-in as a teller, if needed
- Perform any special functions as designated by Branch Manager or Operations
- Assume other branch responsibilities as already understand within the Bank’s framework, and any other duties deemed necessary by management
Necessary Skills, Training, and Dispositions:
- Banking experience preferred
- Good working knowledge of teller functions and general bank operations helpful
- Strong computer skills – ability to learn new computer systems
- Excellent customer service skills are a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
