What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Banking Officer position at NTNL BK OF COXSACKIE?
The Community Banking Officer is responsible for the-day-to-day management of the front-end staff in the Main Office and ensuring that National Bank of Coxsackie is properly represented at local community events. This position is relied upon to serve the current loan and deposit customers and maintain a strong presence in Greene County markets, while supporting the necessary operations of the Main Office location.
The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are:
- Ensure the day-to-day front-end operations of the Main Office run smoothly;
- Process NSF for the Main Office and review/approve NSF those that fall over the Branch Manager’s limit;
- Review and sign off on monthly branch audits;
- Service the customer base that comes to the Main Office for their banking requests/needs (loans, deposits, services, etc.);
- Facilitate applicable commercial loans through software (LaserPro);
- Assist Operations with required regulatory management;
- Respond to inquiries from the website/contact us/online banking messages;
- Cultivate relationships to promote the Bank's programs and services;
- Adhere to Bank polices and compliance requirements including remaining current with regulatory and industry changes;
- Keep abreast of local opportunities, general economic indicators and industry trends by maintaining a profile in the community through participation in local organizations (occasionally attending after hours events as needed);
- Provide desk coverage in the branches when needed;
- Assume other responsibilities as already understood within the Bank’s framework, and any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Necessary Skills, Training, and Dispositions:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people;
- Highly motivated and self-starter capable of initiating and cultivating new relationships;
- Bachelors Degree in finance or related field;
- Minimum of 10 years Banking experience;
- Knowledge of and ability to follow banking laws and regulations;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and the ability to learn new programs;
- Maintain strong relationships and provide top-notch service to customer base.
