NTT DATA is looking for high-achieving team players that are quickly adaptable to new challenges and entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for a Data Engineer, Azure to work 100% onsite in Orange, CT with our global client.

Responsibilities:

• Join an exciting project to shape our client’s digital backbone, making a direct and meaningful impact on business operations, scalability, and growth.
• Work closely with stakeholders across departments, with a unique opportunity to bridge technical and business perspectives and develop well-rounded, influential relationships.
• Implement changes such as pipeline updates, database and table modifications (ensuring data preservation), and data redesigns to support dashboard creation, utilizing notebooks or code changes and compilation.
• Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
• Ensure efficient and reliable ingestion, transformation, and loading of data into the data platform while collaborating with various teams, data sources, and formats.
• Provision, configure, and monitor Azure data services such as Linked Services, SFTP connections, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Cosmos DB.
• Design and implement ticketing solutions.
• Replicate and implement the existing Azure data lake architecture within AWS.
• Separate UAT and PROD environments, ensuring use cases adhere to data architecture standards and naming conventions.
• Establish and enforce data quality rules to maintain consistency and reliability.
• Design and implement storage solutions using Azure services like Blob Storage, Data Lake Storage Gen2, SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, or Cosmos DB.
• Optimize storage for cost and performance while ensuring data security and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor data pipelines and storage solutions to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and meet SLAs and performance requirements.
• Automate tasks including data pipeline deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates and Terraform.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency and reduce errors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in system architecture and/or system administration and/or data projects maintenance.
• Experience with data security and data access controls.
• Expertise in Azure Platform as a Service (PAAS) model and integrations.
• Extensive knowledge in data pipelines, firewalls, operating systems, web services, networking, and the cloud.
• Strong understanding of system architecture principles and best practices.
• Proven experience utilizing critical thinking skills to know when to inform, lead, and listen to drive our business forward.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strength for teamwork and autonomous learning.

Nice-to-Have:

• 7 years of experience in system architecture and/or system administration and/or data projects maintenance.
• Experience with Microstrategy, Power BI, Cognos, and/or Informatica PC.
• Experience with Agile management philosophy implemented in Scrum framework.
• Experience with leading and mentoring teams.
• Microsoft Certified in Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-200 & 201), Azure Data Engineer (DP-203), or Azure Synapse Analytics (DP-3012-A).
