We are currently seeking a Data Center Operator - Tape Operations/Smart hands/Device reboots to join our team in QUINCY, Washington (US-WA), United States (US).
The DC Operations IT Hardware team is responsible for network cable installations and removals, equipment installations & removals, smart hands hardware break/fix support and network cabling diagnostics. This role is for a senior technician on an onsite team working 12 hours shift. This is a physical hands on technical job and thus requires the ability tobend, crawl, stand, climb. Must be able lift and carry devices up to 50 lbs.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Day to day delivery of all move, add ,change decom (MACD) workorders
- Perform hardware break/fix workorders (such as troubleshooting connectivity/hardware issues and replacement of hardware components)
- Providing data center escorts as requested via DC Portal
- Utilize DC Portal for daily workorder execution
- Maintain accurate notes and documents using DC Portal
- Collaborating/mentoring between technicians
- Communicating with peer technicians for operational handoffs
- Checking supplies in and out from inventory management system
- Maintaining work area in a safe clean and orderly manner.
- Tools and supplies are properly put away after every shift.
- Time entered in Fiori (SAP) at end of every shift
- Performing QA checks on work orders
- Performing backup tape operationsDC Floor rounds - amber lights, cleanliness/organization & hazards
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years experience working within Datacenter Operations
- 3 years of device/smart hands experience
