We are currently seeking a Facilities Design Engineer to join our team in Yonkers, New York (US-NY), United States (US).

*This role requires working onsite daily at our client's facilityand requires employee to be fully vaccinated on or before start date, to the extent required by applicable law.

*This position will require moving equipment between locations, so reliable transportation is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance and operations of equipment within assigned area of responsibility.
• Achieve established production goals consistent with NTT Data's quality and safety standards.
• Maintain floor plans, documentation and environment for all IT closets at client locations
• Perform UPS health checks prior to each campus generator test.
• Coordinate HVAC repairsand other vendor maintenance.
• Maintain the IT closet database.
• Manage and respond to alerts, tickets and calls for IT closet related work.
• Check the environmental conditions of each IT Closet including temperature and humidity.
• Check IT Closets for unauthorized utilization. Report unauthorized use of a closet to Customer.
• Other Duties as assigned
• Extensive local travel required - Must be willing to travel to local sites
• This position may requireflexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve on-call responsibilities for emergencies.

Requirements

• Experience with Visio
• Strong understanding of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)
• Understanding ofelectrical circuitry diversity and redundancy
• Experience withvendor management and preventative maintenance scheduling
• The ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed, but not limited to, eye/face protection, flame retardant clothing, foot protection, gloves, hearing protection and head protection, etc.
• The willingness and ability to work rotating shifts that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary and be subject to callouts, including response to emergency situations.
• Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports applicable to the industry
• Work standing all day.
• Be on call as needed.
• Lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Use full range of manual dexterity (i.e., sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting).
• Reliable transportation - Insurable Driving Record
• The ability to read and interpret floor plans and use all types of testing equipment, analog/digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature indicating and recording devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices.
• High school diploma and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training

• Prior knowledge of Mission Critical or Data Center environments
• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
• Shift work including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Basic Qualifications

• 1yearof facilities or data center Experience
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb up and down stairs and ladders.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $65,000 - 80,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
