We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
Job Description: Project Manager
NTT DATA is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of software development and cloud migration for a Federal Agency. The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the Program manager in managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. You will work closely with stakeholders, and clients to ensure that software projects are delivered on time and within scope while meeting the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures (WBS) to guide project execution.
- Set measurable project success criteria in line with client expectations and contractual obligations.
- Lead the software development team through each phase of the project lifecycle: initiation, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure all project work is aligned with established processes and best practices, including Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies, depending on project needs.
- Track and report on project milestones, deliverables, and overall project health using project management tools.
- Work closely with the product owner and stakeholders to manage changes in project scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle; proactively resolve issues to minimize impact on the project.
- Maintain a risk register and monitor it regularly, escalating risks and issues to senior management when necessary.
- Provide regular financial reports and projections to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all project deliverables are aligned with the client's quality standards and expectations.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies (if applicable) to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field and 11 years of work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing software development projects, including end-to-end project lifecycle management and managing complex contracts with clients in a software development setting.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional Waterfall project management techniques.
- Minimum 3 years of experience project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello, or similar.
- Must be a US Citizenand be able to passa Public Trust investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
- US Veteran
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Agile Certifications - Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or equivalent.
- Experience working in federal government projects, particularly under compliance frameworks such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST.
